The Citizen Ambassadors is an innovative platform that empowers those in crisis or disaster-stricken areas to share their stories, providing an unfiltered perspective that often goes unheard. We are a global network of Citizen Ambassadors: individuals who share their lived experiences and provide first-hand information during crises, disasters, or epidemics.

 

Our initiative pairs Citizen Ambassadors, such as university students from affected regions with student organizations in the US. These partnerships build relationships, share stories, and promote understanding and empathy through personal connection.

Bypassing manipulated media narratives and promoting real connections, we empower individuals to learn about global events from those living them. We not only foster deeper empathy and understanding but also build a globally interconnected community, united in truth.

HOW IT WORKS?

Step 1: Recruitment and Training.

We recruit individuals from affected regions to become Citizen Ambassadors, training them in basic communication skills and the safe use of social media during crises.

Step 2: Partnership Building.

 

We pair Ambassadors with corresponding organizations outside the area of crisis. These partnerships create an opportunity for Ambassadors to share their experiences, answer questions, and build relationships.

 

Step 3: Sharing and Advocacy.

 

Individuals or groups moved by their Citizen Ambassador's stories can help amplify their voices by sharing their accounts on social media platforms. This advocacy can fulfill service hours for students, linking education to social impact, and expand the impact of community organizations looking to make a difference

 

Step 4: Ongoing Support.

 

We offer continuous guidance to our Citizen Ambassadors, ensuring they can effectively communicate their experiences.
